【Yaegaki Shrine】

This is the place where Susano-no-Mikoto built a “Yaegaki” fence around a large cedar tree in Saku-Same-no-Mori (Oku-no-in), where he sheltered Princess Inada from Yamata no Orochi.
It was named “Yaegaki no Miya” from the joyful poem of marrying a wife, “Yakumo stand Izumo Yaegaki, build a Yaegaki for my wife.”
